FCCLA Bake Sale this whole week in the rotunda! The Menu for today is: Pizza rolls, brownies, red velvet cake balls, and strawberry cake balls! Come see us 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 7th hour!

If you are interested in enrolling in a concurrent class for 2nd semester, you need to enroll now!

Redland offices will be closing on December 13 & OSU-OKC offices will be closing on December 15th. See your Councilors ASAP to get enrolled.

Drivers Education classes will be December 27th, 28th & 29th from 7:30-5:30 each day. The cost is $300 for current YHS students, $325 for out of district students & $275 for YPS Employees. All forms are available in the front office. You must submit your forms, a copy of your birth certificate & payment to Ms. Rutherford by 12/20 by 3:00pm.

The YuCan Coalition is sponsoring our annual Youth Speak Out! This is a chance for students to voice their opinions to our community leaders on changes they want to see in the school and community. Contact Ms. Shelby Snowden by email if you are interested in speaking! Parent Permission forms are outside Room G121. Speeches and permission forms will be due to Ms. Snowden by Monday, December 16th. The speeches can be emailed to Ms. Snowden or dropped off in room G 121 (Mrs. McKeown's office).  Youth Speak Out is on January 28th.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

Community Foundation Scholarship: The Community Foundation Scholar award is a one-year award of $2,000 and can be used at any academically accredited public or independent/private, nonprofit educational institution in the United States including vocational/technical centers.

Requirements Student with an unweighted GPA between 3.25 and 3.79. Applications must be submitted by December 6, 2019. VISIT: www.occf.org/scholarships.

JUNIORS ONLY SCHOLARSHIP: The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that may be used by recipients for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans to enroll in the fall of 2021. To apply please go to www.coolidgescholars.org to apply. The deadline is 5:00 PM EST, Thursday January 16, 2020.

Students, if you are wanting to make or build things or serve in a health science field, please apply for the Jimmie L Dean Scholarship at www.jimmiedeanfoundation.org.  Deadline is April 15, 2020.
